Furniture Care Guide
Good everyday care helps furniture retain its comfort, finish and strength.
General care
- Dust regularly with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
- Keep furniture away from prolonged direct sunlight, moisture and strong heat.
- Blot spills immediately; do not rub.
- Test any cleaner on a hidden area first and follow the material manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not use abrasive pads, bleach or harsh solvents.
- Lift furniture when moving it; do not drag it.
- Check and gently tighten accessible fasteners periodically.
Upholstery and mesh
Vacuum gently using an upholstery attachment. Avoid soaking fabric or mesh. For stains, use a suitable professional cleaning service when in doubt.
Wood, metal and moving parts
Use coasters and mats on finished surfaces. Wipe metal dry after cleaning. Keep chair castors free of thread and debris, and stop using any item that develops a loose or damaged structural part until inspected.
